PORRIDGE WITH TOSTONES

INGREDIENTS:

Bread. Olive oil. Salt. Flour. Sugar or Honey. Ground cinnamon. Water or Milk. Walnuts (optional).

 

PREPARATION:

The bread is cut into pieces and fried, they are the tostones. Walnuts can also be fried and added to the porridge with the tostones. In a saucepan, a little oil from frying the bread is heated, and water or milk, a few grains of salt, and flour are gradually added. Care must be taken to ensure that the oil is not too hot when adding the flour to avoid lumps. Stir everything until the mixture is smooth, and let it boil while stirring constantly to prevent sticking. Add the sugar or honey. When it is boiling, add the tostones and walnuts. Stir everything to mix the ingredients and remove the saucepan from the heat. The porridge is ready. Distribute it in plates. Serve it as a dessert, hot or cold, with a little sugar and cinnamon on top.
