Mozarabic Way to Santiago. Journey through Lucena from the Cerro Gordo industrial park to the Vía Verde.

Lucena is also part of the Mozarabic Way to Santiago, where the history dates back to the time of Muslim rule, when the Christian-Visigothic population known as "Mozarabs" continued to maintain their Christian faith and customs and began the pilgrimage to the Apostle's tomb in Santiago de Compostela.

The Mozarabic Way starts from Malaga and enters the municipal area from Benamejí, through different public paths along the Anzur River until it connects near the urban area with the Vía Verde del Aceite, which follows the route of the old railway, where the Subbética region opens up to the pilgrim in all its splendor.
