Navas del Selpillar

This hamlet is located 12 km from the municipality of Lucena and is surrounded by small elevations among which are "El Cerro las Puertas", "Cerro Zapateros", and "Cerro el Puntal". Its exact origin is not known. The watering place at the Pilar fountain, dating back to Roman times, is of importance. Its location was exploited by the railway line to create the Moriles-Horcajo station, whose destination was Baeza, on the Oil Train line. Today, the Greenway passes through it and you can visit the Olivino Enogastronomic Center, located in the former station.

Next to the Horcajo area, there were medicinal baths in Roman times, which would disappear over time. In these baths, there was a chapel dedicated to the Virgin of Health, hence the fair in honor of this virgin is celebrated on August 15th. Its patron saint is the Virgin of Remedies, which is found in the Parish of this hamlet. Its main festival is held in the penultimate week of August and is in honor of this virgin.
